The afternoon kids weren't very bad at all.  I had kids from Nigeria, Cuba, Sudan, Iran, Mexico... I don't remember the rest.  I sat next to the kids from Nigeria.  As it turns out, the three boys around me happen to be the trouble makers of the bus.  Not surprisingly, they behaved themselves relatively well.  Most of the kids were pretty good about following my directives and bus rules.  A few reminders, and they were fine.  As I understand it, we had a pretty typical day (if not just a bit mild compared to previously).  We'll have to see how it goes for the next week or so while I get to know them better.

I have to tell y'all though, I was so nervous.  My mouth was dry, I caught myself shaking a bit.  I think part of it was that I'm not entirely used to disciplining children of that age.  I usually do better with the younger ones.  I know I'll calm down as I get to know them.

I got a bit of prep work to do tonight though.  I'm gonna see if I can't see what one of the Swahili words they were calling each other mean. I suspect some of them might not have been nice.  o.0

Note to self: Don't use the word "Journey" in front of the Swahili speaking kids. I just read it translates to "rim job". Lovely. Also? I think the term they were using (the one I was looking up) just might have been a musical reference to a Ja Rule song. I feel dumb now. *blushes*

Mom had her condo appraised today.  She also heard word back from the mortgage people on the house she's selling.  Apparently they heard about Dad's bankruptcy and are withholding the pay off information because of it.  Mom tried to call them with information on the quit claim deed and the divorce decree, but they kept redirecting her calls to an answering machine in the bankruptcy department of the mortgage headquarters.  I hope she gets it taken care of soon.

Last but not least, only got a newsletter done today.  I'd forgotten until I got home that I promised my Mom I'd help her clean her condo to prep for the appraiser to come over.  Spent the afternoon doing that after I'd got the newsletter done.  Hubby is coming home with more stuff for the newsletter though, so I'm going to have to re-do it tonight.  Woo.  Hoo.  So excited... *grumble*  but at least I get paid for it.  *g*
