I'm sick...
I've been sick this past weekend. Slight fever, enough that I was walking around asking all the time if anyone else was cold.

Bad weather...
To add to it, we got a ton of snow dumped on us (at least, it was a ton considering the area. I've lived in Colorado folks...). Not usually a big deal, but people up here don't know how to drive in it. There was a ten car pileup a couple few miles away from us.

The shopping trip...
Not knowing about the severity road conditions in that bad weather, I sent hubby out to get stuff for cookies (I wanted chocolate, and he wasn't about to argue with the grumpy sick woman). Over an hour later, he calls up and says, "So, you're probably wondering why I'm not home yet. Thing is, I can't get into the neighborhood".

See, we live on a big hill out on the edges of town. Pretty decent neighborhood, but the roads to get into it are really steep. Usually when it snows, or even just rains in cold weather, they sand the roads. Apparently, the roads were bad enough that day that the sand trucks weren't about to brave the highways to get to us.

*snerk* I'm pretty much in shock at his statement, and we talk a little about it. Then all of a sudden he goes, "Oh shit, I gotta go. I'm sliding back down the road again."

The loot...
Half hour later after that, he finally made it home. He brought with him a gallon sized thing of icecream, three giant tubes of pre-made cookies, and toppings for a sundae. He said, "I didn't want to have to go back out there."

There's nothing worse than feeling miserable and the weather's miserable too. Hope you get to feeling better soon. Thank goodness for hubbys who think of everything, huh?

Amen to that. And thanks for the well wishes. I'm feeling a lot better lately, or at least I'm not near as cold as I was this weekend. :)

At least, with the snow, you know you're not missing out on things you could be doing (aside from snowball fights). My mom lives just outside LaGrande, OR and was complaining at me earlier today about the snow... so I figured Boise was probably getting dumped on as well.

Hope you get feeling better soon!!

That is very true. Not missing a thing cuz nobody's out there doing anything except getting in wrecks. :)

Oh, and the storm came at us directly from Baker, OR. Which explains everything, really.
