saifaiI'm going to the doctor today to get my excuse to get back to work. Should be back in the working fields by Monday, which means I've only missed a pay period and a half (ie won't get a paycheck next Friday). Bonus to this is that spring break around here starts the week after next. *bounce*
So, there's this whole fic appreciate week or something. Just thought I'd scrounge up a few favorites. To start off with, if you're on my flist I appreciate you. Go here and start reading through their stuff. It's all good.
Second, I thought I'd mention a few authors you might not see around here too often:

theohara - For stories like "As the Romans Do" and "Two Summers". Both great stories with unique points of view. Also? Het stories. *patiently waits for the booing and hissing to quiet down* And one of them is Spike Dawn. *cackles evilly*
The Dark Scribbler - "Jedi Harris" is fast becoming one of my favorites. Yet another Het story, if you can believe it. But how can anyone resist Xander doing Jedi mind tricks? Not me for starters.
toobusy2write - How can anyone possibly not love "Bent Justice"? A bunch of hot men in prison, with nobody for comfort but each other. It's like Queer as Folk meets Oz.
There's just too many. I'm such a fanfic whore. You've gotamejisuto's White Knight, Black Knight. darkhavens's "Step by Step Series" and her unforgettable drabbles. edahs_lanrete and her wonderful series "Everything Changes".
Then there's alwayskyrieane and her world of slashy goodness. ladycat777 and just about everything she's ever written. margarks and... well it's a long list. redwolfoz and the Spawn drabbles. secondverse has "29 Linear Moves, "49 Circular Moves", "Long Time Gone", and more. tabaqui and "Little Runaway". txrabbit's "The Gift" and etc. willshenilshe has "Bed!verse", "Pierced!verse", and the famed "Slashed Sonnet Sequence". Who can forget wordsmithslash and "Reconstruction", and "Spike's Boys"?
I told you I was a fanfic whore. I've got so many favorites it just isn't even funny. You guys have made me love to read. I never was a fan of those pesky words on paper things, but this stuff just pulls me in. I love you all.
