Been watching Torchwood thanks to [livejournal.com profile] txrabbit. Gotta love her. Took me awhile to get to watching the episodes though because my mom's computer dvd drive went out, so I bought a new one (but the new one has lightscribe).

Love it very much! I now know why it doesn't air on SciFi channel. Quite a bit more... risqué than Doctor Who.

How much more is there? I've got two seasons and I'm almost done with those. What are they on now?

Now for the questions:
  • Where did Jack go at the end of season one? Was there a corresponding episode in Doctor Who? I have two episodes from season 4 on the discs, but I figured they went with the end of season 2 or something.

ANSWERED: Had this one answered myself by watching Season 3 of Doctor Who.
  • I'm a bit conflicted about the chemistry between Jack and Gwen. Obviously Jack feels something strong for her, but he has this relationship with Ianto and keeps going back to him. I can't help but think whatever Jack feels for him isn't what Gwen feels. Strong yes, but different. Any clues for the curious?
  • Ignore this plea from the person who so doesn't need another fandom, but are there a few Jack/Ianto fics I can dip into? I'm curious for something that might address Jack's feelings (whatever they are) with Gwen. Does such a fic exist?

A few?? There's bucket loads of the stuff out there. The TW fansom seems to write little else. *g*

Try joining [livejournal.com profile] torch_wood and for a daily round up of all the fics etc try watching [livejournal.com profile] torchwood_three.

At the end of season 1, Jack saw the Doctor. The corresponding episodes you need to see on Doctor Who (to see what happened) are in season 3 of that show. Utopia, followed by The Sound of Drums, and then The Last of the Time Lords.

Then, watch season 2. At the end of that, go to season 4 of Doctor Who, for Journey's End--Jack, Ianto, and Gwen help out for that. (Part 1 of Journey's End is The Stolen Earth--watch that one, too)

ETA: The icon I'm using for this comment shows something Jack did in Utopia.

I've always really wanted to watch Torchwood. I loved Jack on Doctor Who, but I haven't even had time to watch all of Doctor Who, let alone Torchwood as well. Though . . . since I am soon not going to be in school and have evenings free . . . yes, I do believe it may be time to catch up! I've somehow managed to stay blissfully unspoiled for both.
