A little background into the story. My brother-in-law is paranoid. He's also a gun fanatic. My sister and her hubby lived with us when I was in highschool. Once when I was trying (unsuccessfully I might add...) to sneak in after a long night of drinking and partying, he heard me (I knocked a glass off my window sill while coming in). I walk upstairs to get a drink (just water), and find a 9mm pointed at my head.
Yup. That's my brother-in-law. Gotta love 'im.
When they moved to Charlotte (North Carolina), he bought my sister a gun. So, now they're happily paranoid together (granted, it can be a tough place to live compared to here up in Podunk, Idaho).
The other day my sister calls and says she doesn't want my Dad coming around our house anymore because he has motive to kill my Mom (for insurance money cuz he's currently broke and in debt). *rolls eyes*
So, here I am today waiting for the security company rep. to show up so they can install an alarm system in her house. Complete with 24/7 monitoring. *sigh*
I guess, I'm just a little jaded at the moment. Mom is feeling bitter, hurt, and angry at the moment and it's a tough job trying to keep her on the straight and narrow. She's always got a mean thing to say about Dad, or some scheme to bring on some pain for him. I'm managing okay, so far, and have kept her out of a lot of trouble. I guess this just adds to it.
