It's finally over...

The divorce is final.

The name change went through (probably thanks to some last minute updates to the wording).  I went with my mother's name.

I've still not really dealt with it yet, but that will come in time.  For now, it's just one day at a time.  It's a relief to have that part of it over for now.  I really just want to get on with my life and start rebuilding.

I'll start seriously looking for a new job come this summer when school gets out (which should be in another two weeks or less).  We'll see what happens for now.

Now if you'll excuse me, I've got some chocolate waiting.  Also?  I need to make a list of all the places that need to have the name changed (other than the ones I could make online).  Not exactly looking forward to that part...

A new life is a good way to look at it. I've been looking at it all like that, or at least trying to anyway. Am trying to keep my chin up. It's hard work trying to keep the positive thoughts rolling around up there. ;)

I didn't change my name back because of all the hassle, but I realise that I'd have felt better if I did.
I also always thought the hardest part is before the divorce - afterwards, you can just start to live again.

I really do feel better having changed my name. I wasn't sure at first if I would. The hassle is a bit of trouble, but it's worth it for me.

And you're right. The hardest part is over. Moving on is in the works right now. I need to learn to live again, if that makes sense. *hugs*
