The night waned...

Day two and no hubby to be seen.  Or heard from for that matter.  It's a little weird.  Sitting home alone feeling like I should be waiting for him is a bit unnerving.

ETA: Hubby just sent me a text message.  Speaking of which, I need to come up with a new way to refer to him.  He's still my hubby, but it just doesn't feel right calling him that.  I guess at some point I'll have to start calling him Mark.

J sent me a text message last night and wondered how I was doing.  The last thing she said to me made me smile:

(7:01:39 PM) J: and... just try to keep your head above the water
(7:01:46 PM) Saifai: Am working on it.
(7:02:01 PM) Saifai: doggy paddling is damn hard work.
(7:02:20 PM) J: lol... float on your back for a break *hugs*

I finished the Highlander!Xander story and have moved on to a Stargate/Predator crossover: "A Predator Halloween" by jemstone5.  Haven't got very far, but it's got an interesting look at Sam Carter's home life outside of the SGC.  At some point the predator will come along to sweep somebody off their feet.

...and yes, I do know I have strange taste in stories.

The third season premiere of Battlestar Gallactica is on tonight.  I'm really looking forward to that.  It's a guilty pleasure for me, and one I often complain about due to the lack of metal version cylons, but I'm still bouncy.  I've been waiting for forever to see how they're going to dig themselves out of the hole they created for themselves.

And with that, I'm off to take more Advil.  My migraines have been plaguing me as of late.  Is it any wonder?

Last but not least, the icon I'm using with this post was yet another icon I did for a challenge and never turned in.  It's Dean Winchester doing the cool, sexy, smoking accountant thing.  *shrug*  At least I thought he made a sexy accountant.

ETA: One last item. I downloaded a bunch of songs for Mark the other day to make him a mix CD for his trip. My most favorite of the bunch was an old Johnny Cash song called "Hurt" that's all nice and angsty. I've got it on MP3 if you want it: HERE (and it's only available until October 13th)
