More Xander Crossover Fun
First, the rec.  For the Stargate fans out there, here's a lovely Xander-centric that takes off after the Buffy finale. "Trick or Treat" by Kei.  It's quite good actually.  I've seen crossovers with Stargate before and they're a decent read, but the reactions SG-1 have towards the Scoobies seem varied and forced.  Not so with this one.

Designers Babble
Second, the accomplishment.  Hubby came home from a business meeting and handed me a copy of an invitation his business partner wanted to send out.  Their words were, "Unless you can come up with something better, this is what we're sending out."  It's kind funny actually, at least from a designers standpoint.  It's a textbook typical example of what not to do: centered alignment, all one font in the same size, and awful graphics.  Of course I re-did it.  They had a cool idea going there in the text so I went with it.  Kinda ended up making it look like a frat house kegger invite, but it gets the point across.  Plus?  I had fun doing it.

Fun With Bookmarks
Lastly, one of the sites I managed was shut down.  The sites [livejournal.com profile] darkhavens has been sending me for Supernatural were intended for that one (which by the way I will still be able to use, but on a different site so it's all good).  They posted a link to another site run by the company that shut them down (typical corporate angst: bought out by big company and promptly shut down afterwords).  It was for Furl.com.  They call it Social Bookmarking (and here's my archive in case you're interested).  Every site you bookmark is public (unless you state otherwise) and it lets you know how many other people did the same thing.  I rather like it because it's easy to add a site and I have an automatic backup of all my favorite bookmarks (which isn't as important for those with Firefox who can export single document backups of all their links, but still it's good to be double protected).

Yeah, again with the rambling.  I tend to do that a lot, don't I?  *grins and bounces*  Okay.  Off with the reading again.  Have a lovely day y'all!
