Screws loose and crossovers

I lost my appetite. I'm constantly tired. I can't sleep. Do you think that's a bad thing? ...and no, for the last time *glares at hubby* I haven't called the doctor yet.
Meanwhile, I've been reading Lord of the Rings crossovers. Found some pretty interesting ones written by
trekqueen. There's one that's a almost has a plot crossover with Startrek TNG, "Pointy-Eared Mischief." In this one, the elves method of leaving for Valinor include taking off in space ships. Warf can't beat Glorfindel in a match... twice. Deanna Troi gets it on with Elronds twins sons, and Dr. Crusher gets it on with Rumil.
Then the WIP sequel, "Drunken Hobbits and an Irishman," takes place on Deep Space Nine. Warf still can't beat Glorfindel, but apparently Jadzia Dax can (and then Glorfy and Dax get to know each other "bettter"). So does Haldir and Kira. Oh yeah, and Gandalf and Galadriel are kidnapped by the Cardasians.
ETA: Just thought I'd warn anyone who was curious enough to read those, they contain Het. There be no slash. *gasp* I know... the horror! But still good reads.
Hee. It's great fun to read these.
Next up on the to-read list we have Frodo and Samwise stuck on Enterprise, and Yoshi can't seem to get the translators to work right.

Date: 2006-01-16 11:06 pm (UTC)hello!!
Date: 2006-01-16 10:57 pm (UTC)As for slash, I'm considering writing a third part to the series and possibly, POSSIBLY! putting in a slash interest but that's in the future so we'll have to see how it goes in this story. I'm one of those who doesn't read slash typically but if it is written really well then I'll totally love it so if I butcher it terribly in my first attempts I might not post it. I have one beta in mind who is into that so I might be in search for a second. But like I said, we shall see.
Thanks again!

Date: 2006-01-17 01:18 am (UTC)No, Crusher didn't die and she's still alive since she was in the latest movie. Tasha Yar was the only main character woman officer who died from TNG. That was definitely before DS9.
Could you possibly be thinking of Dax? She did die in the sixth season of DS9 but of course Worf was there and married her. Otherwise I'm not sure who you could be thinking of... but yes, keep the questions coming!
