Oi. Where's the Pepto?

*burp*  I think I'm gonna be sick.  I had one too many truffles this evening.  I only ate two of my cookies, but I'm about ready to get a couple more. 

I managed to make three different knds of cookies today, but only one of them are baked.  The other two are chilled doughs, so I won't get to bake them until tomorrow.

I would have baked them too but hubby commandeered the kitchen to bake his own Christmas presents, which consisted of Chili Cashews.  I got stuck on tag making duty.  Cute little tags with snowmen on them, but I made on them the computer.  Had to cut 'em out, glue the sides together, and paint on the glitter.

But hey, we got presents for a dozen people out of the way now (not inlcuding the recipients of the cookies).

So, today I made the Snickerdoodles.  I made the dough for the Russia Teacakes and the Molasses Sugar Cookies.  I'll bake 'em tomorrow.

That leaves me with the Chocolate Crinkles, Old Fashioned Sour Cream Cookies, Fruit Slice Cookies, and Candy Cane Cookies.  Not sure I'll have time for the candy, but we'll see.  *re-reads*  Wait, I think I'm forgetting one.  Something about Rum cookies or something.  Lost the recipe card. 

The measuring spoons are put away for the evening.  *sigh*

Oh, I'll know exactly what you mean tonight. I'm heading over to a friend's house to do the baking thing for presents, and will want to devour all the tasty morsels! ... Though I'm the one baking, so there's a chance not even I will want to taste the, uh, not so tasty morsels.

But hey, you burn water too, and you made it out all right! I have hope!

Mine turned out edible, although a few substitutions made my mother raise her eyebrow at me when she taste tested them. LOL

... What sort of substitutes did you *make*?

Mine turned out much better than expected. Apparently, I make the most impressive chocolate dipped pretzels in the entire Idaho area. *Shrug* ... Not that that's really baking.

But the cookies turned out good (ginger bread men!), though they probably could have used some frosting. And the fudge turned out perfect! (Who knew fudge was so easy to make?!) WHOO.

Hee. I was making Snickerdoodles. You roll them in cinnamon and sugar. I only had half the cinnamon I needed. I decided to grind cinnamon sticks in a mortar and pestle. It's harder than it looks.

Needless to say my Snickerdoodles had little chips of cinnamon bark all over them. I finally did find an extra bottle of cinnamon about half way through the batch though...

Good to hear your stuff came out okay. :)
