Friday is the new Monday.
Nov. 20th, 2005 09:08 pmFriday we got a letter in the mail. It had been lost and re-sent which meant we got it at least two weeks later than we should have.
The contents of this letter? A description from the arbitrator handling our bankruptcy case telling us the items we need to bring with us to court.
Our court date? Tuesday.
*sigh* It seems we have a couple items that we'll have trouble getting hold of, including bank statements and tax forms.
Also in the news? I got a flu shot Friday. It's my first one ever. *coughsneezehack* I'm now sick. So is the hubby.
Yeah. Did I mention that today he went to work? On the way home he stopped by the store for dinner. While he was in the store, somebody saw that our tires were missing that extra special touch and made sure to rectify that for us. They left us a shiny new razor blade in our tire.
*head.desk*
I'm going to bed now. It'll all be just a bad dream when I wake up. *nods sagely and shuffles off to bed*

We don't have copies of last years taxes (long story involving a storage room and damage), so we would have needed to order transcripts. It takes two weeks to receive them if ordered by phone. We're hoping the local branch of the FTC will have copies for us. We don't have enough back copies of our bank statements to bring with us. Normally we would need to get those from the bank. Unfortunately they upgraded to a new system. A special feature of the new system includes a completely wiped out database. The database happened to be the one holding back copies of old bank statements. We had a plan for getting copies of those, but I don't remember what that was now.

Date: 2005-11-21 04:22 am (UTC)And *take the letter and envelope* to the arbiter showing how late it arrived. It's not *your* fault that the post office sucks and this might get you some leniencey on the forms you *have* to have and maybe s/he'll say 'oh, a copy is fine' or 'oh, we can just add that paper in when you get it'. Maybe have the bank write a short note, too, saying that their database was wiped. Showing willing is half the battle, sometimes.
*hugs you hard*
Best of luck, bay-bee. Sheesh.
