New vocabulary.
Nov. 3rd, 2005 11:44 amI love words. Odd as that may sound to my own ears, it's true. The more obscure the better. Of course, there's a lot of obscure words for me. I tend to shy away from words when put together in the form of books... but there you go.
Today's new word is obdurate. There's a saying that uses the word: "obdurate conscience of the old sinner" (Sir Walter Scott).
No additional words yet to my Nano, but the day is young. I'm also going back to work for the PM shift, so that's good. I'm really tired, but I can handle dealing with the little miscreants.
In other news, I'm enjoying this whole MySpace.com thing. I found a friend or two and some others I know hanging around on there. Also have been occupying my time with fielding comments from strangers. One person I've had an ongoing conversation with started with comments to my "eye"-con. Another on-going conversation I've had started with a guy who spammed me with information on his new website. I sent him some advice and it went from there.
*shrug* It's a nice way to bide my time when I'm bored and avoiding homework and working on my Nano. *gr*
