The suspense kills me...
Oct. 23rd, 2005 09:25 pmI still don't know my final grade for my class.
However, I have kept myself busy watching a few films..
Pretty, pretty men in pretty pretty uniforms. Hubby pointed out to me that I have a love/hate relationship with Orlando Bloom. He says that when I'm about to see a film with him in it, I have a quirky little grimace on my face. It isn't until I've completely watched a film that I can decided whether I love him or hate him for that film. I loved him in Lord of the Rings, but hated him in Troy. He was okay in Pirates of the Caribbean, but not my all time favorite. This film I loved his character. Part of the reason I loathed him in Troy is the character himself was so... weak. He just grated on my nerves. This character in KoH I was afraid it would turn the same direction. There was that awful woman Sybilla. She was working all the angles. She had such potential to drive him to ruin right along with her, but he stood his ground. Had to respect him for that.
All in all, it really wasn't a bad film. I'd watch it again. Which considering I don't say that often about films is something.
I also watched The Interpreter and Robots. The former was a good film. I've been impressed with Sean Penn's most recent work, including the one he got an Oscar for, Mystic River. Robots was just neat. Cute story and cute characters. *shrug*
Just about a week until the Nano starts. I've done gone and recruited me some minions. We shall take over the world! Mhuhahahahaha! *cough* ...er, or something.
I got an idea or two about my book. There will be NAVY boys. They might be... what is that QaF term? Twink? Bear? Yeah, some of those. There might be slash. Also? Some of it might be true. You just never know.
Hubby has given me the LOOK after I told him about this one. He's in complete denial. Also? He's just a bit scared over the coming month. He claims I have temperment problems. Something about panic attacks and random bouts of flailing. *shrug* I think he's exaggerating.

LOL. In that regard, I should hardly talk. Though I'm less of a yeller in such situations as I am a mutterer.
