  • Things are speeding up at the moment.  I've got more hours at work, ever more dangerous and tempermental special needs students on my bus, and not one person offering me my requested hazard pay of a pint of Ben & Jerry's Chunky Monkey.

  • My current class is not quite as breeze-worthy as my last two, so I'm working a bit harder on my projects.  I'm still behind on my reading assignments though, so that's good to know some things stay the same.  *rolls eyes*

  • I've got a bunch of doctor appointments coming up for various and sundry.  There's the back guy for the headaches and potential weight loss (don't ask), and the eye doctor (tomorrow if my hubby manages to drag me out there), and the gynecologist for the surgery stuff, and... I'm sure I'm forgetting something.

  • Next up on the list is a positive.  Through the discussions hubby and I have been having about the state of our affairs, so to speak, we have come to discover that things are looking up a bit.  The business he's been wanting to start failed again, but we think we finally know what we can do to improve the situation.  He's going to start with something smaller that will give him the extra boost he needs to take that step later on.  The analogy I gave him is that he's trying to start a super-charged race car with a moped engine. He needs to get something a little stronger before he tries again.  I won't give details yet, but we finally found a service this city needs.  If it all works out, it should improve things around here quite a bit.

  • Interestingly enough, and somewhat along those same lines, my studies with information systems is already paying off after only three classes.  I've been able to give hubby advice and suggestions about his potential businesses.  I think by the time I graduate my skills will come in very handy with helping him with his business.  Who knows what job I'll get after that, but I guess I feel pleased to finally have something that could potentially add some marketable skill to our list of family assets.  Does that make sense?

Now if you'll excuse me, I've got to attempt to catch up on some reading.  I've got another paper due tomorrow, plus my part of the group project for school that's due next Monday.  Oh yeah, and some time I've got to find me some dinner and get some sleep.  *gr*

I'm glad things are looking up for you and hubby. Keep us up to date on the surgery stuff.

hugs

*hugs* Dang this insurance stuff can come in handy sometimes. With any luck, I'll be able to hold by tongue (and inherant distrust) with the doctors long enough to let 'em find a way to fix me. :)
