...and still no paper.  Had to work overtime today and didn't have the time.  And now, it is bed time.  No final paper done tonight, I'm afraid.

In other news, things are pretty bad at work.  They don't have enough employees to cover the routes.  The routes have been changed by the school district, but now the leftover routes have conflicting times.  It's a strange thing to go through.  Basically, it just means that everyone is on edge.

Unfortunately, I'm caught in the middle.  My driver is one of the ones having the worse of the troubles thus far, and I feel like I'm playing mediator for her.  My hubby works as office staff, so I often hear things from his side too.  Makes for interesting conversations sometimes.

I'm happy though, if that isn't just odd enough.  Despite all the troubles, I'm happy with the route and my driver.  I'm not entirely sure if I'll stay here all year because of the trouble with it all, but for now I'm content.  Hubby is horribly unhappy with his job, and he's been threatening to look for something else.  One of his own supervisors today told him that he would rather work two full time jobs than put up with all that is going on at the moment there.  I don't blame them.

As for hubby, he's been looking at doing prison guard work.  Something he's always wanted to do, but never took the chance.  He's got to work with his trainers and chiropractor to get checked out before he can even think about it though.  He's got some back trouble from a work injury that needs to be taken care of first.

That's about it for now.  I've got a migraine, I can't breathe, and I'm entirely too wound up to go to bed at the moment.  Hope all is well with the rest of you.

What's the attraction of prison guard work? Seems like it would be a mite dangerous?

An excellent question. To answer the second part, yes it's dangerous. I suppose for the hubby it's just something he's naturally attracted to because of his inate personality. He's passive agressive, which makes him easily able to manipulate situations to a positive outcome. He just has a certain way with people. Not to mention the fact he's as big as a bull with the temper and strength to match.

I dunno really. I guess anything in the field of protection has been something he's always wished for. From his stint in the NAVY to his wish to become an officer of some sort later on...

Does that make sense?

I guess it does make sense -- long as *you* are OK with it.
