Bah. Stupid shows.
Aug. 4th, 2005 10:44 amOnly got 25% of the second season of QAF downloaded (I don't actually have Showtime). It's taking forever. I want to know what happened like now!
I saved the last episode of the first season on my HD. Then I realized that I was only keeping it for specific parts. So, I edited the video and saved it with only the parts that dealt with Brian or Brian and Justin. Much better show to watch now. *gr*
In other news, it's my tenth wedding anniversary today. We're not actually going to do anything though. We're waiting until this weekend to celebrate. No, hubby is out having fun rafting with his work mates today. It's their official "Staff Day" which means all the staff members from the office go out and have fun without their significant others. It was a spur of the moment thing. They were going to do it over the weekend we went camping, but they cancelled. With them doing it today, they get to have fun all day and still get paid a full days worth of wages for it. Not a bad deal, eh?
So, it's just myself and the cast of Queer as Folk keeping me occupied today. You know it's impossible to actually do a manip for that show? Why bother when they're already nekkid and in naughty poses to begin with?
Speaking of which, there are nasty little mini-baby spiders in my house. It's driving me insane. Most of them have taken to draping themselves across the room via my desk. How they're doing it and where they are coming from I do not know. All I know is that they're grosse and I don't like them and I want them to be dead and if one more sets up camp in front of my vision I'm going to scream. Argh!

Date: 2005-08-04 09:35 pm (UTC)overnighter at a fancy resort.
Ooh, I'd hate that. I'm not sure if I would either try to find a way to stow away for the trip, or just get revenge by doing some activity that would make hubby equally as envious.
Kinda agree with you on QAF. I love the soapiness of it all. I love Emmett and Michael. Ted is the one that gets on my nerves. Brian I wasn't sure what to think of at first, but I'm afraid that I'm a bit like him in a lot of ways. I get him to an extent. Makes it interesting to see how he reacts to the world around him. Same goes for Justin, though in the respect that I love to see how well he navigates issues with Brian. Should be interesting to see how those two develop.
And yes, the nekkid dancing gay boys doesn't hurt any. *gr*

Date: 2005-08-04 10:20 pm (UTC)-Just celebrated our fourth year of marriage, seventh year of being together. Which... wow.
While the husband is away I do indeed intend to play! Might get myself an invite to a friend's cottage... might visit Niagara Falls for the day (yeah, it's a little on the tacky side, but I adore it anyway)...
Of Brian and Justin, I do like very much how their relationship develops. Particularly in later seasons where their relationship-arrangement takes on a kind of... well, don't want to spoil it for you here... but let's just say it has aspects that look damn good in S/X fanfic, and here it's CANON!! Omg!
Possible squee!worthy tidbit: I was stopped at a red light here in Toronto one day last summer, and I glanced over at the driver of the car next to me and damned if it wasn't Gale Howard. Or his identical twin, if he had one, but I think not.
