saifai | Oooh, nifty!

Hubby got a new car last night. It is sooooo cooool! It's a 1978 Lincoln Continental towncar. It's all black, and in excellent condition. I don't have pictures of it yet, but to give you an idea... looky here. Whoever sold it had tried to give it to their son, but he didn't want it because it was a "grandma car". Not so, says the hubby. It's more like a pimp car. With the black color, give it some hydraulics and an ass-kicking stereo and we got it made. LOL

It's gihugic though. This car is 15' long. It's not a boat. As for the former owner says, "It's a land yacht." This car won't even fit in standar spaces, I would think.

Also? It's got a really powerful engine. My mom was a little dissapointed that we didn't get the truck we'd be looking at. I of course told her that this car could probably tow a truck. It's got a towing capacity of 2500 pounds. You max out as 3500 for that. I imagine that's about the same as a small truck. To give you some perspective, our old car (which had a powerful race-quality engine) was rated for just over 1000 pounds. My brother-in-law, with his over-compensating truck of manliness has a capacity of 8000 pounds.

We're excited to have it. We gotta do a little cleanup on it, so I'll have pics later.
