Umm... yeah.
Jul. 10th, 2005 12:17 amWas there something else I was 'posed ta' be doin'? I been stalling again today. I played around with my layout. Didn't change the header or anything. I did try out one of those new layout themes though. Flexible Squares this time. I really like it. Was super easy to edit. Take a look. What do you think?
I kinda like it. Has a nice flow to it. *shrug* I also made an icon today. Not showin' anyone. Well okay, maybe one. But that's it. Gonna make some more first. Also, I got some pretty cool pics I'm gonna make some textures out of... just as soon as I find time to cut 'em up. LOL
*hugs* How's everyone else doin'?

Date: 2005-07-10 11:54 am (UTC)Do you need a different code to put a header pic up in different layouts? Or are all the codes the same?
I really want to change my layout, desperately, but I worry about the code!

Date: 2005-07-10 04:55 pm (UTC)However, as I've learned, there are some layouts that make it easier on you. It's a recent development, or at least I've never noticed it before, but you can actually add a background image and header from certain layouts using the "Customize" button. You know, that one you use when you're tweaking the colors and text when you change your layout theme? Just a matter of pasting in a URL and you're done.
For example, 3 Column you can do that. This one, Flexible Squares, you need to add a bit of code to your layout file. It sounds a lot harder than it really is. For this one, I did a lot of cutting and pasting. All the colors for this were done on the customize page. I added the header, and a couple of the editing links on the entries, and a few other tweaks just cutting and pasting codes from the layout communities. Most of the themes have got them.
If you need help figuring out how to do it though, just let me know.

Date: 2005-07-10 05:58 pm (UTC)I didn't know there were actual layout comunities. I'll have to go hunt them out!
I'm fine putting code in as long as I know what code and where to put it! LOL! Still, a handy button would be much easier!
I'll probably have a play around next weekend. I definitely want to change. I want more width in the main column.
Thanks, sweetie. I'll certainly be calling your name if I get stuck!
