Sort of.  I'll send a wedding gift.  But that's it!  No visiting.  Maybe.  For sure.  Unless I change my mind.  *flails*

Been looking around at gifts.  Found a really neat gift basket.  It's a picnic basket.  There's a few others there, but that's my favorite.  I think if I sent it, I'd probably customize it and have them fill it with treats and stuff too.

Problem?  It's freakin' expensive.  Anyone got alternatives?  I know this couple, or at least their family.  They'll register somewhere expensive and out of my price range, I'm sure.  So I'm thinkin' of something a bit personalized, but kinda cute.  Like the baskets.

If ya' got ideas, I'm all for it.  My requirements is that I can order it online and have it shipped to California, and that it's around $50 or under.

In other news, the kids on my bus were quiet all day.  It was unnerving.  I just kept expecting them to jump out of their seats and start a riot or something.  It's the last week of school (though actually we have until next Wednesday before school is out).  Kinda expecting them to be little hellions, hence the surprise that they were so good today.

Of course it could have also had something to do with the fact that half the kids were missing, and of those gone they happen to be all my trouble makers.  Imagine the odds of that happening again?

You might have a look around at Overstock.com. They've got lots of homey, gifty stuff, most priced quite reasonably. And shipping is always $2 or $3 or free.

Do you do any kind of artwork or crafty things? I really appreciated all the handmade stuff we got as wedding gifts...pillow cases or towels with our monogram, quilts, crochet-work, even our wedding invitation nicely framed was a great gift.

*just throwing out some ideas*

Actually, that's not a bad idea. Will have to look into that end and see what I can come up with. Thanks for the suggestion!

You know, you could always get a complete gift basket (http://www.ernagifts.com/wedding-gift-baskets-103/large-wedding-exclusive-10371.html), and then add few personal touches - saves you a lot of time and money.

Thank you for the suggestion. I'll have to keep that in mind for next time. I ended up sending a couple items of their wish list. Wasn't my ideal, but it worked. :)
