~ (Me, to yet another student wearing a full Yoda mask.)

"I don't know why you're even trying to explain this all to me.  I'm just a pre-schooler.  I'm only six years old.  I can't possibly be expected to understand all these complicated bus rules you have.  I can't even read them!"
~ (Six year old kindergartener who was trying to explain why she had broken 7 of the 10 bus rules that day, and didn't feel bad about it.)

As it happens, my mum drove schoolbus for many years, and so I gacked that line from the six-year-old and sent it off to her- it made me laugh and laugh, and I think it will do the same for her, too. Also it reminds me very much of something my precocious seven year old niece might say.

And, um... I kind of said "I found this in some LJ online..." because, much as I love my mother, I don't necessarily want her trolling around in my slashy fangirl sandbox, y'know?
