Revenge of the Dishwasher, Part 2

That appliance so kicked his ass.  Our new dishwasher is still sitting in the driveway waiting to be installed.

Hubby finally did get the little feet hacked off the bottom of the machine.  It only took him twenty minutes and a second burnt spot on his arm.

He started to pull the dishwasher out only to discover that installing the thing before the floors and countertop were in also means it was plugged in during that time too.  The result?  The power cord is too short and is keeping the thing in place, hanging half out of it's slot in the cabinets.

*snicker*  He finally got sick of trying to figure out how to get the thing unhooked.  He gave me fair warning, marched out to the breaker box, and turned off the power  TO THE ENTIRE HOUSE... and then clipped the power wire to the dishwasher.

You would think that would release it enough he could get the thing out, right?  Not so, says Murphy.  It would seem that there's a small problem of a really short water pipe running out of the back getting in the way of dishwasher freedom. 

That and there just happened to be two more little feet at the back of the dishwasher, mocking him with their un-hacked state.

In case you're wondering, I did eventually just give up any pretense and got out the snacks, made myself comfy, and just watched as the events unfolded.  Was truly entertaining.  He'd had this running commentary the entire time.

So yeah.  Lunch time came to and end.  Hubby gave up and pushed the appliance back into it's slot with one final glare.  He kicked it for good measure and head back to work fifteen minutes late and without having had lunch.

Round 3 is to take place sometime Saturday evening, or so he says.  My bet is on the dishwasher kicking his ass again.  ::giggles::

To bad you didn't put up the convo he had to himself as he worked. We would probably be on the floor with laughter... LOL

I started to do just that, but had too much fun just watching. Kinda lost track. It did involve things like, "If I didn't have bad luck I wouldn't have any luck at all." and "It's not like I had anything better to do today."

Hopefully we'll see part three on Saturday. I know I'm keeping my fingers crossed. :)

Sounds like you've been having yourself a big ole time. LOL
