Hubbyfai decided to install a new dishwasher for us today.  All by himself.  On his lunch hour.

First, he had tried for twenty minutes to wiggle the thing out before he discovered it was screwed in.

Bolts out, he worked for another half hour before he decided it wouldn't come out anyway because the machine was installed before the hardwood floors were put in.  Fortunately, it was also installed before the countertops were installed.  *rolls eyes*

A burnt arm and several curses later, he decided to just use a hack saw to saw the little feet off of it and slide it out.  Easy.

Twenty minutes after that, he's discovered he has the dullest blade in the county.  And it's rusted.

*checks clock*  No lunch has been had yet, and he's just gotten the first foot off the bottom of it.  *sigh*  It's gonna be a long lunch hour for him, poor hubby.

*tries not to giggle*

I dread the statement, 'I can fix that' coming from My husband.
I think it must be a man thing.lol! because my husband is in no way a handyman.

I often wonder about that too with my hubby. It's not that he can't fix things, because he really is handy. But he's got the worst luck when it comes to these things. If something can go wrong, it really will.

...

Well okay, there was that incident involving him and a set of small stairs. (They were crooked for forever after he got his hands on 'em). Pretty much anything involving angles.

And car electrical systems are pretty much off limits to him now too. After he blew out the entire electrical system on my old van. Twice.

*gr*

If I bring the popcorn, can I watch too? This is way more entertaining that anything television is showing at the moment.

My thoughts exactly. I swung the couch around so I could see the kitchen, set myself up with snacks and just watched him for awhile. The comments and cursing he did the whole time were so worth it. *gr*

*snickers again* Sorry about that girlfriend. But I can't help it. Your poor hubby. Is he ever going to live that down?

I don't ever let my own hubby that I gave him the ideas he needed to help him fix the van. He kept arguing with me for twenty minutes both times. LOL
