Once again, I screw myself. My domain, you know the one, Saifai.co.uk? Apparently the transfer papers weren't filed correctly. The previous owner had the papers sent to me, but never signed them. So when the papers were filed, they were ignored. Now, I can access the registration online and everything (or I will soon once they send me the renewal papers again), but the domain technically isn't mine until the transfer papers are filed correctly. Bonus? There's a £30 to have it filed that way. One thing I know for sure, I'm not paying it. The previous owner can pay it. One assumes that's the sort of fee that's taken care of with the sale of the domain.

I guess I'm more mad at myself than anything. I kept thinking that something wasn't right in the way he handled things, but not knowing any better I just told my inner voice to shut the hell up. I really should have listened, and I really should have done more research on how these sorts of domains are transferred. *sigh*

Hopefully, the address I have on file for this guy is still correct. I can only hope. Everybody cross your fingers and toes for me. *gr*

In other news, hubby brought me an ice cream cone last night. I went to bed with a very happy tummy. He's also taken the day off to get some work done here at home, so I get to spend more time with him today. Kind of a curse and a blessing, since I get to try to spend time with him while I'm trying to get a project done, but hey. We'll get through it. :)
