My Spander is... So, I never thought it would happen but it has.  I finally found subject matter in Spander stories I can't stand: affairs.  I can't stand reading it.  Spike fooling around on Xander, or that he has some casual attitude about sex and "loves only Xander, but hey... a guys got needs too."  *rolls eyes*  I.  Hate.  It.

Okay, I'll be the first to admit there are exceptions to every rule.  First, keep in mind that Spike and Xander are my OTP.  If Spike is cheating on Buffy with Xander, and he falls in love with him and leaves her at the altar to be with his nummy pet... more power to him.  I'll read it and cheer for him to do it again.  Replace Buffy with just about any character and you have the exception to the rule.  Spike can be a cheating bastard so long as he cheats only with Xander, and once they're together he never goes back to what he had before.  Pile on the relationship angst, just don't make him have sex with that other person again.  Why?  Then he's cheating on Xander.  And.  That.  Is.  Just.  Not.  Allowed.  *gives everyone the evil eye*

So yeah.  That's my two cents for today.  Carry on.

HubbyFai to write his first fan fiction... Oh, wait.  There was just a bit more.  Hubby is now picking up references to Spike & Xander everywhere.  We're watching charmed and somebody mentions an old fairytale and he makes a comment about Spike & Xander.  He's now decided that fairytales are a sick new Spander kink.  You really don't want to know.  Anyway, after his later comments I just couldn't stop laughing.  I eventually stopped laughing long enough to say, "Honey, next thing you know you'll be writing fan fiction."

Well.  He got an inquisitive look at that and said, "Maybe I will.  I just need to read a few stories so I can get an idea of what sort of stuff you guys read."  I raised an eyebrow and said, "What rating you want to start with?"  He matched my eyebrow raise and raised one of his and responded, "Oh you know, whatever is your favorites."

Yeah right, as if.  Anyway, I thought I'd start him out with G to PG-13 stories.  Anyone got any favorites they'd like to reccomend to the cause?  I promise I'll post any stories he comes up with.  *snerk*

Cheers for you. I have been trying to convince my husband, very unsuccessfully, to at least *read* some Spander, but he won't even read mine, much less write any. He did help me write my silly little slash talk show script, but I think that's because it so obviously made fun of the genre. I can't wait to see what your hubby comes up with.

I suspect my hubby had the same intentions at first, as he really doesn't like the Spike & Xander characters. But he seems to be taking his task of reading up on the stories I write and read seriously, so we'll just have to see.

I firmly believe that no one can resist the Spander given enough time and exposure. So while he may be reading for sarcastic ammunition now, it will eventually overtake him. Or something... LOL

I'll friend him and maybe the pressure to entertain someone besides you will make him cave and play with it. You should look for his favorite comics and see if they have a feed, or some of his favorite fandom gossip.

Oh, that is hysterical! I love the fact that my guy reads more ff than I do. But not Spander only Spuffy. Although, he will read my Spander, so at least that is a plus. Except all he says is, "It's good." *eye roll* Gotta love him though, he tries.

I'd about die if mine read Spuffy. His main problem with the show is he hates a few of the actors. Mainly, Spike & Xander. Go figure. LOL Oddly enough though, he's been showing an interest in Charmed fan fiction. Would love to see if I can convert him. Hee.

Agreed. I think at most Spike would appreciate someone from afar, but I don't think he'd ever cheat.

Totally agree, hon. It breaks my heart to see Spike cheating. I just don't think he would. He's so passionate and possesive. Xander would love him whole heartedly and I think Spike would return it in equal doses. That's why we love him so much.

Me too. May take a while just to get him through the fan fiction I'm gonna make him go through, but we'll see. :)
