There is nothing more depressing than living near legalized casino gambling. Seriously. Going to the grocery store was something to be dreaded knowing that I would always be confronted with the sight of mothers putting the food money into slot machines at the entrance while their dirty-faced kids wandered aimlessly in the parking lot.
