I'm such a wimp

For someone who's so stubborn, outspoken, and downright fearless to letting people know what's what, you wouldn't think I'd be such a wimp about some things. I hate confrontation. (Wha...? Huh?) I know it makes no sense, but there you have it.

Like this morning, I'm still dealing with the [insert appropriate curse word here] guy from my site host. Not dealing with anything important other than trying to find an alternate method of payment that's not gonna drive me nuts every month.

I get an email in my inbox this morning from him. It sits there untouched still. When I first got it, I just thought, "Well I need to check other important emails first." After I checked all those it was, "Well I think I need to check all the rest of the emails in my entire email account too." Then I just up and chickened out and thought, "Right. I absolutely can't let another minute going by without reading tabaqui's Little Runaway story." (It's very good so far BTW). About halfway through the story I think, "Okay. I need to open that email. I'll just suck it up and do it. Riiiiiight. Now." I clicked on the email below it.

*drops head in shame*

I'm such a wimp.

As my Bunny has learned, the trick is to have someone else click on it for you, and read it before you read it, some less-vested person. Then they can steady you and prepare you for the worst if the email is scary and confrontational, and if it isn't, you'll be all relieved.

I do this for her all the time. :-)

Oh, I soooo relate. I'm a complete wimp when it comes to anything even the slightest bit confrontational. You know what? Sometimes the best thing to do is just face it. It's never as bad as you think. 'Cos your mind goes to much scarier places than actually happens.
