saifai Water came back on. We were without for about 2 days or so. Wasn't so bad, but I've discovered it's almost as nerve wracking as being without internet.
Had my back to school training meeting yesterday. It was an all day event. Lots of changes this year, including lots of new routes and a mass shortage of employees. With the price of gas lately, the people who live further out have all quit and are working closer to home.
On the way home I bought a couple few ice cream sandwiches. I now remember what it feels like to be allergic to dairy products. Not a good night.
I've got a ton of new books ordered from Barnes & Noble. Not my usual place to shop, but I had gift certificates. I got a book on working with organizing small spaces (Terence Conran Small Spaces: Inspiring Ideas and Creative Solutions), a bit of Shakespeare (Troilus and Cressida), a memoire of sorts (The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch), and a slashy paranormal investigation novel (What Hides Inside by Ally Blue).
I was a bit disappointed to find What Hides Inside it was the second novel of a series, so now I've got to go back and read the first one. The author sounds very familiar to me, as if I know her, but perhaps it's just her background that sounds familiar. She's a former slash fan fiction writer.
I've also got a handful of books to read from the library. I don't know why I bother with buying books or getting them from the library. I know it'll be tough to read them what with the oodles of bookmarked fics I've got on my "to-read" list (rec list coming soon). LOL
Okay. I'm off to attempt prying myself away from the computer for a bit. I've got a house to clean since some people are coming over tonight. *sigh*
