Well okay, maybe not love. But he's a pretty cool guy. He was patient and took the time to explain everything to me. He explored all avenues. He got me going in the right direction if he couldn't help me personally.
First things first, I asked him about the fibroid tumor. First it was there, then another doctor says its not. He looked over all the records and said, "Well technically the second doctor couldn't tell. According to this, she thought you should have an MRI done to test for it."
WTF? My gynecologist didn't tell me that. She said she didn't see anything. Now it turns out she suspected it was there and needed further testing? As to that, my internalist gave me a number for another gynecologist he knows fairly well. Thinks this guy might be able to give me some good advice on where to go from here.
Second, he diagnosed my migraines and my asthma. Speaking of migraines, we went into that a little bit. I asked him about some of my weirder symptoms and wondered if it was aura. I get deja vu before really bad blackout migraines. I also will get my vision crossed and vertigo. He says it's all different types of aura. He'll keep an eye on it. He thinks I might need to see a neurologist if the meds he gave me don't help as much.
He noticed my family history. He said, "Your list of medical conditions is a bit long for your age." With my weight issues and family medical history, I need to get in shape. Big stumbling block for me is the migraines and the asthma. So, take care of those and I can start getting back in shape... hopefully.
He got me some meds for all that. *squee* I loves my meds. I haven't tried out the migraine stuff yet, but I got Advair for the asthma, and Albuterol for emergencies. The Advair is kinda weird, but its worked great so far.
How cool is that? I can breathe, and I can maybe have less frequent migraines! Wow.
Anyway, I go back to see him in a month to check and see how I'm progressing with the new meds. If all goes well, I'll be able to go back to the gym soon and get back on my program. *crosses fingers*
