saifaiCool feature about the Flexible Squares layout I'm using now? People can't mess up my friends list. Give me a quiz that uses a table in the answer, give me gihugic photos that span across your screen, and my layout jumps it in a single bound. Well sort of. Just that if there's anything that jumps outside the set width, it just bleeds into the right column. Which for me and my abhorance of all things horizontally scrolled? I don't mind one bit.
In other news, my dream story plots are just getting interesting. I think what frustrates me the most about them is that I tend to think of my main heroine as Mary Sue. This is a bad thing right? One of these days I'm gonna have to plot out a background for her that's more original.
...a young woman with a beautiful blonde haired daughter of four. She's a single mother, out on her own. She's just moved back home to her place of birth to start her life over again after losing her husband. While shopping in a book store for a present for her daughter, she seeks the advice of a young pre-teen browsing through the comics section. His father spots this and storms over, wondering what this strange woman is doing chatting up his son. He's a bit on the over-protective side. She quirks an eyebrow at him, but apologizes and scurries off. Enter the best friend. Her best friend shows up unexpectedly in the book store. Her daughter spots him and runs over to give her Uncle hugs. The woman uses this opportunity to skip over to the coffee bar and order herself and her daughter some beverages. The father comes back over and tries to chat her up. She escapes without really listening as quickly as possible. She grabs her daughter, asks her friend to run interference for her, and leaves the store.
I've had the same dream, going over that sequence there, for the last two weeks. Isn't it about time that my dream progress a bit? Actually, I shouldn't realy complain too much. That last bit there was new material I got three days ago. This has been driving me nuts. Oh, and the father? Played by none other than James Marsters.
I hate my brain sometimes.
