Bah.  My internet explorer won't work.  Spybot says I have a virus thingy named Peper.  I have a feeling it has something to do with Bill Gates and his pesky Evil Inc.  Hey buddy!  Yeah, I'm talking to you Billy Boy!  I've got my eye on you.  *gives Billy the glare of death and pets her lovely FireFox*

So.  There was kerfuffle to be had.  Long story short, I'm makin' a few makeup graphics for those that lost them (as well as just a few others just because).  Some will benefit, others will not.  Also, I've taken down the majority of my manips, icons, and etc. from my photobucket account.  I'm gonna leave that one for things like caps and banners.  As soon as I get it all finished, you'll be able to find my stuff in a photo lab I setup at [livejournal.com profile] kyrieane's site.  => Saifai's Photo Lab.  More on this later when I get it all done.

As you may have guessed, the story did not quite end with me getting a new route.  Oh no, it got much worse.

First, I managed to get onto my new new route... er, rather the second new route.  However, the driver mentioned that there would be a different monitor for the afternoon portion.  This means that bitch woman dispatcher decided to take it upon herself to allow me to have the route I was supposed to have, but only for half a day.  Of course, I marched straight into the office after the morning route and told my supervisor.  My supervisor went straight to the big boss over the whole thing.

Long story short, BWD tried to apologize.  Twice.

There's quite a bit more to the story I didn't find out until later.  First of all, my previous driver is friends with the dispatcher I'm having problems with.  I didn't know this until just recently though, as it would have explained a lot.  Apparently, he'd been asking her in casual conversations if she wouldn't mind taking me off the route and giving him someone different.  He's been doing this for some time.  Also, she's been trying to get this done for some time, but has had the request denied by my direct supervisor, the training manager, the operations manager, and the big boss.  She's had this request denied like five times since December.

When I took sick leave, they all got really short on employees.  BWD went to the big boss and said, "I'm having trouble covering all the routes and need to move a few people around."  Of course big boss agreed but said, "Do what you have to, but only move people that really need to be moved."  BWD took this as permission to finally take me off my route, but she decided to hold of telling me until I got back.  And that brings us right back to the beginning of it all.

In the end, they told me that under normal circumstances she would have been fired for doing it.  Since they're so short-staffed, they didn't let her go.  She's on a short leash right now though.  I guess the same day all that went down with me finding out about the half a route thing, three other people marched into the big boss' office to complain about her recent actions.  Big Boss has just said she knows she's doing it, and she knows why, and it will eventually lead to her demise in the company.

I'll tell you a secret though.  Hubby told me the other day he thinks she's job hunting.  She's put in applications with a few staffing firms.  So, she may just take herself out the equation all together.  I'd like to say that I'm upset to see a 10 year employee losing her job over this, but I'm really not.  She screwed up and pulled me into the middle of it.  Yeah, I'm still mad over all this.

So.  There was this movie with James Marsters in it.  I liked it alot.  Everything everyone else has said about it goes for me too.  I guess I didn't know what to expect, but I was pleased with the results.  Mom and I agreed that the middle of the film was a bit slow, and a might confusing on the timeline.  I didn't think it took away from the juicy goodness that is James and his co-horts though.  Margo Kidder?  Loved her to bits.

Yesterday was natural disaster day on USA, or "Death & Destruction Day" as I so lovingly called it when my mother asked what I was watching.  I watched a film about a super huge tornado that starred Bruce Campbell.  Then there was a really cool one about an earthquake in New York that had Jennifer Garner in it.  And finally, there was a humongo 4 hour film called 10.5 about those super fault lines in California.  You know the ones that could potentially set off the loss of the California coast line if the big earthquake should ever happen?  Well this movie theorized what it would be like.  Let me just say, y'all down in Hollywood and Los Angeles are so toast.  *gr*

Lastly, I watched a fake documentary about dragons.  Was pretty cool actually.  Anyone ever watch that film, "When Dinosaurs Walked the Earth" or something like that?  Well this was a lot like that.  There was the CGI that told the story of the pre-historic and medieval age dragons.  There was speculation on how they flew, how the whole fire-breathing thing worked, what their lives would have been like, etc.  *bounces up and down and hugs the stuffing out the filmmakers*  Yeah.

And that's it.  Now if you'll excuse me, I gotta get bookin' if I'm gonna get some graphics done this week.
