I'm a bit behind on feedback. This weekend was a nightmare. We just paid the last payment on our car. ::yay::

Of course what else could happen but the car breaks down. We checked on prices to fix it at the dealer, and our regular mechanic, but it was expensive. So Mr. Shadetree, aka the hubby, decided to take it on.

He's worked on this same part last year too. As it turns out he caused the problem from tightening a bolt too tight for this particular part (he has strong shoulders, and breaks a lot of tools too). One of the bolts that holds the piece on sheared off. So now he had this bolt hold filled. He figures the best way to get it out is a drill bit that can unscrew it out. He buys the set, tries it out, and now he's got a broken drill bit sticking out and running right down the center of the stuck bolt. o_O Now he's off to buy a bit set that will allow him to re-drill the hole and rethread it for a new bolt. That one finally worked, but now the part won't be strong enough to withstand the force of the engine tugging on it. Now that he's gone through two broke bolts and three snapped off drill bits, he also has to replace the piece of the engine the part he's replacing fits onto. Not entirely his fault. Just amusing (for me).

Also? I love Mozilla Firebird. I've been using that browser because a site I'm working on updates through an online control panel. Unfortunately, it doesn't work well with MSIE (or at least it doesn't work for me). I've really grown to love using it though since there's things that I don't have to deal with that are a regular occurrence for MSIE (or even Netscape if you get right down to it).

There's benefits to this browser that I didn't expect: 1) no popups of any kind to deal with, 2) no javascript issues (which can be a bad thing if you need it to work), 3) the page won't load if there's going to be a problem. For forms and such things, that means that you don't lose any information from the form if it doesn't submit correctly (which is an issue I have with internet explorer), 4) related to the previous one, all errors come up as popups describing exactly what's wrong rather than navigate you to a new page, 5) You can open up different tabs from within the same window. If you're working with six sites for something (which I do for research for an article, or with updating my stores) then you can have it in little tabs just below the browser bar and it all fits in the same window. It cuts down on how much memory the program uses, and there's no pesky switching between windows to get things done. Drawbacks: On the rare occasion I'll have to pull up Internet Explorer to visit a site that won't come up right in this one.

All in all, it's a pretty good browser for me.
