Sort of.

If you're reading this, you're not affected. If you read this 2 months from now, you're still not affected.

Now, if you read this three years from now and haven't heard from me in all that time, you just might have got cut. In which case a simple note of, "Dood, what's up with that?" will immediately rectify the situation.

Here's the thing. I'm a pack rat by nature. I compulsively hoard things. They're pretty and shiny and I like them. I'm getting better about dusting every now and then with comments.

But still, no sense in keeping journals that hide from me. I can do that much without flailing.

So, the defriending commenced. I only got rid of people that have never set eyes on this journal (they don't have me friended back). Among those non-mutuals are folks that haven't seen LJ in the last 2 to 4 years, folks I don't share interests with anymore, and a few that defriended me.

One of these days I'll get rid of old communities too.

On a side note, this is the first time I've done this since the journal's creation almost six years ago.

I had a LOT of stuff to go through.

*sets clock for another 6 years*

Sure hope I'm staying girlfriend. *hugs*

Going to switch the layout style tomorrow to the Smooth Sailing layout style since Flexible Squares made the side bar way to long for the quotes I have posted here in my lj. *grins*

Maybe the quotes in my lj might help your creative streak. I so want to see your new Doctor Who/Torchwood layout too sometime.

I still have to gather the guts to defriend some communities and journals. But I'm scared, because the possibility of screwing up and defriending everything and everybody is all to possible for me. It's like, does unchecking it mean I want to keep them, or take them out of my flist? I'm making this all too complicated on myself, really. :/

LOL I'm the same way ... don't get rid of anything. Mostly my problem is 'out of sight, out of mind'. My community list is ridiculously large and I know I don't pay attention to half of what I have on there.

Gotta be done, sometimes, otherwise things get out of hand. I cut a lot of communities a while ago but feel another session coming on. Being multi-fandom means they stack up ridiculously easily.

Btw, hubby gave in and bought another e-reader. Knew it'd happen. *g*

LOL, same here. I don't know why I keep them, except maybe I'm being a bit sentimental. Or just mental.
