Another day another chocolate.
May. 11th, 2006 07:22 pmFirst thing's first: I'm doing much better.
My Mom apologized the next day. I didn't say much back to her except, "Hmph." Oh so very eloquent, wouldn't you say? I then promptly changed the subject.
Hubby is doing better too. He's had a job opportunity come up from the most unlikely of places. His brother started a business after getting laid off from the local tech firm, Micron. He floundered for a few months but finally used his leftover retirement fund and bought a business from his cousin (twice removed by marriage or some such rot).
Anyway, he's doing really well with it and expanding faster than he can keep up with. He wants people he can trust working close with him and asked hubby. Their youngest brother already works for them. Hubby would train with his youngest bro and then work as a team with him after training.
The best part? It pays over double what he's making now. No insurance, but at that rate we'll be able to afford to buy it from a third party.
My thanks to every one of you who offered me comfort (and cookies). I appreciate it more than you can know. I'll respond individually when I get the chance, probably first thing tomorrow.
*hands out yellow crayons and chocolate kisses*
