saifai: (Prima Donna (Saifai))
Updated the filters I read from.  Discovered a handful of you that had accidentally been left off the main filter.  I forget to mark the filters sometimes when I add new people.  (If you're wondering it's just a filter where I've taken out all my communities.  I have seperate one for those.)

Watched Doom last night.  Always did love that game.  Was a nice surprise to see Karl Urban (Eomer from LotR) in that film.  Didn't know he played a role.  Also very strange to see Rock in that sort of character (not counting the Scorpion King from the Mummy Returns).  It was different, but in a good way.  One thing about the DVD that freaked me out.

We almost took it back to the store without viewing it.  First thing that comes up is a menu that gives you the option to start a demo of the new game (which sparks the question, which came first?  The movie or the game?  Would be kind of weird if a movie based on a game would be made only to spawn a new version of the game based on the movie based on the game.  Quite the brain twister there...).  We watched it after a couple failed tries in trying to get around it.  After the demo are the previews, and then finally the movie menu comes up.  Very strange indeed.

Got feedback on an old unfinished fic based on White Oleander.  Just makes me want to work on it some more.  I miss my boys.  Maybe I'll have to add the film version of the book to my Netflix queue and watch it again one of these days.

Small medical update on the new drugs.  So far they're working great.  Since I have been taking the new psycho drugs (as I fondly call them) for my migraines, I've only had one.  That one I was able to counteract with a med the doc gave me for when they onset.  It's called Maxalt.  Very cool stuff.  Melts on my tongue.

The Advair works wonders.  Only have had to use my Albuterol once since then, and only then because of the chest congestion from my still lingering illness.  Hubby has been raving to everyone with ears that his wife can breathe.  It's rather cute.  He told me the other night that he used to stay up at nights making sure was breathing okay.  He would wake up if I wasn't breathing right.  The first night I took that medicine he stayed up just listening to me breathe deeply.

I guess I just never realized before how much he noticed, or that it bothered him like that.
