Say wha...?
Jun. 7th, 2005 03:39 pmHubby darn near got in a wreck yesterday. He's in the left turn lane, about 2 cars back. He rolls down the window a bit when he hears a roaring sound. He said it sounded like Nascar making their way up the road. The light turns green, but I guess everyone else heard too as they didn't move. Everyone stayed stopped, ignoring the all clear signal of the light.
Not a minute goes by and a black car comes careening around the corner doing about 70. He does stunt drivers everywhere proud with the 90 degree turn he makes. He slid all the way across the intersection making the turn, darn near clipping Hubby and the car in front of him.
Nobody moves their cars yet, still stunned at what they just saw. Another car, a white one, comes racing through on it's heels. They didn't succeed at the turn quite as well as the previous car. This one ended up on two wheels. Hubby said that the car was still on two wheels as it zoomed past his car.
Scary thing of all this? Both drivers were teenagers.

In other news, Hubby is pulling our money out of the computer deal we'd found. I guess this guy's wife pissed him off for the last time. Not to mention, this guy was supposed to have my computer finished four weeks ago. The day my computer was to be done, he'd not bought any of the parts yet because of his wife's mistakes. 2 weeks later, they were still haggling over it and then he abruptly left on a business trip for another company he runs.
So yeah, we're not pleased. On the plus side, we found a bare bones system that will work wonders for me. It's a 64 bit bla-bla super high tech something er other mother board, a gihugic power supply, a shitload of ram (2 gig or something) and like 200 gig harddrive. What we would need to then purchase to round out the system, is the light scribe DVD burner, a CD drive, and a video card. I don't remember the manufacturer. It's a wholesale deal though. The price for it would turn out to be less than what I would have paid for the other system. A lot less.
I'll have to wait still until this other guy gets back though. He still has some of our money, and we can't make the purchase until we get it back. Not sure if this system we're looking at will still be there when we get the money, so we've got a backup plan. Either way, I'm getting my new computer. *stomps foot*

No updates on the new house. All I know is the guy is still working on the deal.

Summer school is fun. I have six pre-schoolers. At least two of them are special needs. They're so adorable. One of them was so nervous he got sick twice o on the way to school. He was fine on the way back home this afternoon though. One of the kids got on the bus as ran up and down the aisle a few times. Just as I was about to catch him, he tried his hand at jumping the seats like hurdles. Was rather amusing to see he actually pulled that stunt off with three seats. Finally caught him and strapped him into the seat. Thank goodness for safety vests.

There was something else. I don't remember now. Must have been really important. *sigh* Meh. I'm behind on posts again. What else is new? I'm here. I miss y'all. I hope you're having wonderful summers. *hugs all around*
