The old washer has left the building.
After much banging around and shifting of cupboard contents, the old dishwasher has finally been removed and replaced.  It was quite a journey to get in.  Took the hubby all day to do it.

Trip to the store.
First thing, hubby brought the new machine in after finally getting the old one out.  It would seem the old one was so ancient that the connections were all different.  So, off he left for the store to get some converting thingies to hook it all up. All totalled, he made two seperate trips to three different stores to get all the things he needed.  Or was it three seperate trips to two different stores?

No water for Saifai.
At one point he threatened to turn off the water to the entire neighborhood.  He was trying to get the water pipe unhooked on the old one, and then the new one on for the next one.  He finally did find whatever it is he was looking for that shut off the water to the machine.  As it happens, he found this after he shut off the water to the kitchen sink.  He didn't turn it back on either.  Needless to say, our sink is piled with dishes.  No water, no dishwasher.  No water for tea.  *sigh*  It was a long day.  *gr*

No food either *pouts*.
Finally had to give up on him cooking dinner for us.  The stove was piled up with stuff from the cabinets he cleared out in his search for the water shut off valve.  Pouting at him failed, so off I went to get food for us at the local burger joint.  Turn about is fair play, and all that.  I was nice though and actually got him food this time.

Peace and quiet.  And dirty dishes
The new dishwasher is mostly all hooked up now.  It's got power to it.  Might have water to it too.  Also?  It's so much quieter than the old one.  Before, we had to make sure to only run the thing when we weren't sleeping or watching a movie.  It was just too loud to run it during either of those two events.  Will be such a relief.

Now if only I can get hubby to help me wash all the dishes tonight before we get to bed.  *wanders off to con the hubby into helping*

Did the commenting thing.  Really just did it for my own curiosity, but thought I'd share the results anyway.  Just the top ten, so no worries.
