Ignoring the Pain
Mar. 18th, 2004 01:54 pmI'm sick today. Also, I think I'm might be cranky. Trying to ignore it though, so here's a tidbit from our local news. Hubby told me they passed a bill here that would make all public buildings smoke-free, with the exceptions of bars and bowling alleys. If all goes well, it would all take effect in June.
Once upon a time my three-pack a day self would have protested over that. Nowadays, I just sigh in relief knowing that I won't have to walk through anymore smoking sections, coughing and hacking and bringing out my inhaler, just to get to my table in the non-smoking section. Maybe one day I'll tell the tale of how I got to be that way...
Also, in case anyone's interested, that Spike/Angel to Spike/Xander snippet I posted awhile back? While I'm bed-ridden today (she says as she's stalling for time by checking email in her home office), I'll be going over that and editing it. I won't get into my issues with it at the moment, because it involves a lot of whining. I realize I'm stuck though, and it needs work, so there you have it. Also, when I'm done with the few chapters I have written so far I may need someone to beta.
