Past, Present, and ?

Had an interesting dream. I was in a shop's storage room, only every shelf was filled with items of the same nature. They were all different; some lamps, signs, and various other memorabilia. The commons theme among them though was that they all had two reflective surfaces, one on the left and one on the right. I say reflective because they weren't all necessarily mirrors. Some of them were silver or copper plates, or maybe even some glossy surfaced glass. The thing though is that on the left side represented the past, and on the right was the present. If you looked into the past and saw your skeleton showing through underneath your skin, you were from the past. If you looked into the right side, it would look normal to you if you were from the present. Whoever was with me was from the past. Scared the hell out of me when I looked and saw that skull peaking through. I found something I wanted, some tall sign with two swinging copper plates hanging from a bar at the top. I picked it up and we headed back to leave. As we got the door, whoever it was that was supposed to be guarding the room (some old guy) came down the hallway and spotted us. I got a bit scared that we were caught red handed stealing something from this room. I think I may have turned into a cat or something at that point, because I remember hissing at him and swiping my claws at the guy. Then I woke up. Weird, huh?
