Plushie Tycoon and other babble...

First day of Plushie Tycoon and I've had to restart once twice already.

In case you're curious as to what the hell I'm talking about, it's basically a pretend company in which I have to manufacture and sell plushie toys.

Also in the news, I'm home sick again today.  Damn migraines making me feel woozy and nauseous. 

On a good note, there's a lot of good slashy BtVS fics out there recently that I'm reading.  I don't have links at the moment.  If I remember the names right, there's katy4560's Boys Will Be Boys (Spike & Angel), and entrenous88's latest ficathon entry starring Angel & Xander (not my usual pairing but I can't help but be curious).  There's always something good over in darkhavens's and amejisuto's neck of the woods.

Right then.  Back to Plushie Tycoon.  I got me some neopoints to make.

Sorry. Got a bit behind on comments. Plushie Tycoon was a virtual game (held monthly as I understand it) where you're given a starting budget and asked to make a profit with it. Your have to make and sell virtual stuffed animals from raw material to what you see in the store.

Kind of fun, but really challenging (at least it was for me).

I'm doing okay. School is out for me for the time being. I had to take a medical leave and lost my financial aid. As for medical, the doctor visits are non-stop. Hubby is doing good, hating his job, but looking for new work.

No kids yet, but hubby took up as a Big Brother. Big Brother, Big Sister is a group in the US where kids with only one parent can spend time with an adult of the missing influence. For example, hubby's little brother is a 6 year old kid with only his mother raising him. He needs a male influence in his life so his Mom signed him up. Hubby takes him out and just does stuff like fishing, special events, and other fun stuff. Last week they went rock climbing at an indoor gym.

Sorry. Long explanation, but I wasn't sure if you had something like that over there. *shrug* Anyway, he's been loving that.

...and yes my Holidays were great. :)
