w00t!  The eye doctor gave me a pair of trial contacts to wear home.  I have to get back with him in a week to tell him if I like 'em or not.

I also ordered a new pair of glasses.  They're kinda cool, and my hubby picked 'em out.  I'm awful about picking out glasses.  Everything seemed so small though, and I just couldn't decide.  I ended up with a pair that's purple, but more like an earthy tone.  They've only got the frame on the top and they're open on the bottom.

*bounce*  I have 20/20 now with the contacts.  With glasses they'll be less.  Speaking of which, they doctor told me my vision improved some.  He thought it was kinda weird but wasn't going to argue.

My work schedule is kinda funky today and tomorrow.  I'm going to try and get some laundry done.  I've also been assigned to translate our bus rules into Russian.  Do I know the language?  No.  But apparently I'm the only one out there in our company that has translators on my computer system.  LOL.  Go me.

Yay for not blind! I got some contacts a while back, and since I moved out here, it's too dry for me to wear them.

Bus rules into Russian? Is that real useful around here? Too bad I don't know anyone who speaks Russian on LJ or I could have them check it for you.

LOL. It's such a surprise for me. My mom told me once about how it happened to her. I always wished for it. Seems a bit weird, but I'm dealing! *gr*

Definitely on the dry side for me too. I guess I deal with it, but I got eyedrops I carry with me everywhere.

Yup. I was surprised to find out when I first started here the amount of students learning English as a second language attending the Boise schools. We currently have bus rules in all the major languages and some of the more obscure ones. We don't have the Russians come out for use very often...

I ended up with a decent working copy of the rules, but had to laugh when they finally found the original. I can't read Russian so I don't know how accurate mine was, but I compared it to that copy and noticed my words were either completely wrong, or more frequently in the reverse order they should have been. I figured anyone reading it would have compared it to those tech manuals translated into English from Japanese by a French guy, you know?

*bouncebounce* It's wonderful to see again, and not just from not having glasses. I'm always amazed at how bad my vision was before when I get the new prescription.

...and bonus for the improvement. Who knows how long it'll last, but I'm not complaining here!

LOL, maybe it would be close enough to at least make sense.
