Found a book in Barnes & Noble.  It led me to search the net for information about a specific type of surgery.  As it turns out, the type of surgery I'll be having (hopefully) this summer is myomectomy.  This doctor out of California had a website with tons of information about the type of tumor I have, how it's diagnosed, and the various types of treatments available.  Was wonderful finding out all this stuff.  The doctors around here I have found don't really know a lot about it.  I mean, they missed diagnosing it on me I'm guessing for at least the past ten years.

Anyway, I have the information now.  It's made me feel tons better about everything.  I think I'll be able to finally talk to a surgeon with some amount of comfort now knowing that I can finally fully understand what it is I'll be going through.

In other news, I'm still not getting enough sleep.  I'm completely worn out.  Fortunately, our new trainer has attributed it to an improper diet.  So, we changed around a few things in what types of foods we're eating.  Give me a week or so and I'll have to see then if it's made a difference.

I've been getting a lot of ideas lately.  Ideas for stories, ideas for graphics, ideas for life.  Been tinkering with things, but nothing major.  It's at least a step in the right direction.

Still don't have my new computer yet, but I'm anxiously waiting.  Hubby made some changes on it for me.  We got a different tower, and a different DVD drive, and things like that.  If it's the one I'm thinkin' of, I'll have to send pics of it when I get it.  I guess it was designed for gamers, but Hubbyfai said it was so me.  We'll just have to see. *gr*

Bah.  I'm utterly exhausted.  It's been a long few days.  It's that time of the month again.  I got migraines, cramps, backache, sleepiness, mood swings...  You get the picture.  Am heading to bed.  Kinda behind again on my flist, but I wish you all the best in whatever you're doing at the moment.  Also?  *hugs*

Fibroid tumor in the uterine. One doctor tells me it's not cancerous, another tells me it technically is, but by it's very nature it's benign. 1 in 500 turn cancerous. *shrug* Didn't really miss anything. Just something I've been struggling with since I got this journal a couple years back. Am finally getting around to getting something done about it.

*hugs you back*

Thanks for the tip. Many pillows definitely did the trick. Had to settle for a hot water bottle though. *gr*

*whew* i remember you mentioning having fibroid problems before. i was worried it was something else!

do you take any prescription meds for your migraines? if not you might want to try an herb called feverfew if you get migraines fairly often. i get it at the natural foods store, it is $10 for 100 capsules. i take one every night and it really cuts back on the number and duration of my migraines.

Nope. Don't like to take a lot of drugs for it. I'll have to check the herb out. Sounds like a decent alternative solution. Thanks!
