Got a day off today.  Had all sorts of plans, but they've all been put on hold.  My glasses broke.  Can't really do anything without 'em.  Kinda sort legally blind without 'em.  Hubby's coming by to see if he can get 'em fixed.  If not, will have to buy new frames.  Good thing I got a big paycheck this week.  More than I was expecting.  So, all is good.

In the mean time, just about all I can do with my eyes as bad as they are is sit hunched over with my eyes almost literally glued to my computer screen and read fanfic.  Not good for much else.  Darn the luck, huh?  Guess I'll just have to settle for smutty Spander to keep me company while I wait for the verdict on glasses to come down.

This is why I keep a spare, old pair around. Sure, they are scratched and bent, and they are a bit hard to see through because the prescription is old, but they are far better than nothing at all.

Good luck with that -- I know how helpless that can make you feel, being without glasses!

Yup. Yay for the reading all day. w00t! I'll try not to get eyestrain. Kinda why I opted for reading all day instead of anything else. LOL It's the only thing I can see reasonably well enough to handle without giving myself intense headaches.

Oddly enough, I used to keep a spare pare of contacts around just for this reason, but lost them in my last move. Or rather, didn't lose them but got them confused with an older pair. *moop* When I get my next pair though, I'll have an old repaired pair to fall back on. :)
