*wibble* Dragged to the doctor...

The last time I took prescription medication was a couple few years ago when I had a UTI and was given a sulfa-based antiobiotic. Major adverse reactions. The medication they gave me to combat the pain I was also allergic to as it turns out.

Have not taken any prescribed medications since then. Have also had 3 infections since then and have treated it with cranberry juice and vitamin c. I'm absolutely terrified of taking meds again for fear of having another serious reaction to something.

Mom's been Googling it though and found that leaving a UTI untreated multiple times can lead to kidney damage. Unsuprisingly I was dragged to the doctor.

I didn't start any fights with the medical personal. I did however scowl fiercely the entire time.

No reactions to the new antibiotics yet, other than being ridiculously tired. It's making me feel really slow too. Like my brain is working at half speed.

LOL - Got my mom freaked out though. She's going to check on me in the morning to ensure I'm not having serious adverse reactions to the meds.

Cross your fingers for me!

P.S.
On a side note, I'm in love with their height scale. According to their ruler I've grown an entire inch for the first time in 25 years. Yay!

Getting taller is very cool!

Sorry to hear about the infections, but way cool on being an inch taller!

Taller is always better, even if I am still damn short. :D

I hope the meds work without problems. You might want to take some probiotics/acidophilus to help out your tummy if it starts acting up.

Yay for taller! I want to be taller too! My girls keep asking if I'm done growing.

So far so good. I've also learned making sure I'm eating enough at meals helps settle my stomach.

It's kind of sad really. I actually stopped growing taller in the 6th grade. Same clothing size too, though of course I got wider after I was married. LOL

I'll take my one inch (even if I think it was how I was standing, but I'm not complaining).

I hate it when that happens. :/ Especially when its a pill you've never taken before and you have no idea what you're getting yourself into.

The first time I tried Advil, I thought I was going to die. It actually made me afraid of medicine for a while, I refused to take Xanax like I was prescribed until I realized I was being silly and scolded myself. :/

I hope you stay healthy and don't get any adverse reactions. :(

Thank you for understanding! I'm really that way about a lot of drugs. My body has the nasty tendency to get the weird side effects. You just never know!

So far so good with this one. I'm very relieved!
