ANNOUNCING: SciFi Fan Fiction Archive

Just a general announcement that I've automated the fan fiction archive on my site, Saifai.co.uk.  It can now be found at Saifai.co.uk Fan Fiction Archive.  I have [livejournal.com profile] chicken_cem to thank for that since she helped me work out the bugs.  *big hugs*

I'm currently in the process of moving over all the stories archived at my site.  Since the archive is strictly for science fiction, the stories for Ally McBeal and Monty Python are getting left behind in their original locations.

I fully expect you all to submit your stories there (okay, not really.  I'm fully prepared to start hounding y'all).  *gr*

I found a few favorites archived at my site that I'd forgotten about:
  • Never Send A Psychotic To Do A Lunatic's Job by Saber ShadowKitten - Crossover with BtVS & AtS. Phew, long title, long fic. Very good though. The CoW has found a way to destroy all demons. And this is bad, how? Read on to find out. Oh, and this fic contains spoilers for Season 5 of Buffy and Season 2 of Angel. B/S mentioned, Angel/Spike (main), O/W, D/L
  • Who Ya' Gonna Call? by kirasmommy - Buffy the Vampire Slayer crossover with Ghostbusters. Xander moves to New York to rebuild his life after an unexpected death in the Scooby Gang. Xander/Spike.
  • Sympathetic Ear Series by Paradox761 - Crossover with Farscape. Xander/Chiana. Xander and Chiana make their way across the galaxy together. First they find love, then they find adventure. A wonderful crossover between Xander of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Chiana of Farscape. Takes place in the Farscape worlds.

I'm signed up! Though I should tell you... I tried registering for the forum using Mozilla Firefox and when I clicked submit I got a download of the profile php instead of it going to the finish page. It worked fine on IE.

I'll have to check out the forum. I hadn't realized there was a problem with Firefox. I'll have to test it out and see if I can figure out what's causing it. Thanks for telling me. :)

I have a question for you. It created your account for you anyway, but had it sent the validation email? I'm trying to narrow the circumstances so I can send it to the support people.

well it created it when I did it in Internet Explorer. I didn't get a validation email, got a welcome email. Oh wait I just got the validation one about half an hour later.

The welcome email was my fault. I validated your account by hand.

So did the error occur in Internet Explorer?

oops ok i didnt see your comment in the validation right away!

yea IE worked perfect, it was only firefox I had the problem with.
