Practice safe eating - always use condiments.

Went grocery shopping today.  While we're in line, hubby tells me something he saw last time he was there.  Two people ahead of him, and the lady has a full basket.  It's pretty late at night, considering, and probably at the end of the shift.  Anyway, the checker gets to the last item in the groceries of the current customer.  She then proceeds to pick up the divider bar and tries to scan it.  She tries five times.  She looks at it dumbfounded and flips it over a couple times.  Finally she looks up to the poor female customer holding in her laughs and asks, "M'am?  Where did you get this?  I can't seem to find a price on this."  The woman quarks an eyebrow at her and simply says, "You know what?  Nevermind.  I don't think I want that anymore."  The poor tired checker simply nods her understanding and sets it aside with the other discarded groceries on the counter behind her.

Brief update, spent the weekend sick again and tried my best to get caugt up with my graphics projects.  Got bored and tagged along with hubby to one of his rental property renovation projects.

As for today, the kids on the bus today were just this side of obnoxious.  Four kids in the back are singing at the top of their lungs and won't stop, ten are passing around chips and candy faster than I can confiscate it all,  and the rest of them are looking at my frazzled hair with a sense of horrified fascination.  All in all a pretty good day though.  I guess I'm just in a better mood because I actually spent time with hubby for once.  *happy sigh*

Oh man! I laughed so hard with that story. Thank you! She sounds about as tired as I feel.

Oh god, that is sooo funny... that poor checkout chick. I sympathise with her totally, been there myself. A few times when I was younger, I would indulge in 'recreational activities' and then come to work on Monday... would wonder what the weird noise was that kept going off every so often.

Answer - The Phone!!

Sucks that you are still not feeling well either, I honestly do hope that you feel better soon... damn bugs!

Oh yeah... I haven't had the chance to even poke XX with a stick for the last week or so but I promise to finish the required coding as soon as I get back from visiting my Mum.

Talk to you soon.

*sigh* Yeah. Been a bit busy over here with work, and with a ton and a half of projects. Haven't touched XX either. Will get a chance to soon though. I'm finally done with my projects, dumping the last two, and not taking on any more for the time being. Got a few personal projects I want to get done, like write more in some of my stories and get my own site updated. I'll have a chance to work more on XX in the next week or few, though. :D

I've been told she was just very tired at the end of her shift, but one never knows. LOL
