Back from the trudges of painting hell.
1. Still not done painting the house. Though I did manage to get the stairwell painted with a nifty telescoping paint roller. (and it's the same one hubby used to paint the deck pink chocolate brown so ever so often near the top of the stairwell you'll see these little pink chocolate brown streaks). The house is getting cleaned and carpets shampooed a bit later.
2. Oh before I forget...
Happy Birthday
heather13!
3. So, been getting a few interesting tidbits about upcoming movies. Some of them are surprising, and others are cringeworthy. You've got Jack Black appearing in a remake of King Kong, one in which the gorilla is portrayed as very gruesome. Kind of a step back from the vanilla portrayal from the silver screen. Next you've got Johnny Depp starring in a Tim Burton remake of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Depp doesn't bother me. He's in a film, then bring it on. But Burton making it? That scares me. I have only liked on of his films. Plus, I really liked the original (well the one with Gene whatshisname anyway...). On the other hand, I can't help but be curious to see what he'll do with it.
4. And speaking of movies. Oh, am I in heaven. Gerard Butler will be starring in yet another remake of Phantom of the Opera (a.k.a. Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera). *dreamy sigh* (Moviefone has a trailer online)
